Charting Success Through National Transit Database Insights
PROVIDING EXPERIENCED AND DEDICATED SERVICES FOR NATIONWIDE CLIENTS SINCE 2003
Expertise in Federal Transit Data Reporting
Formerly known as Section 15, the National Transit Database (NTD) contractor may be considered by some as the "number crunchers." Either way, the NTD is an integral part of the Federal reporting process. The NTD collects data to provide information for assistance with local solutions, national concerns, and determining your agency's future federal funding appropriations.
The project managers at Transit Capital have experience reporting federal transit data since 1988. We are fully equipped to perform database calculations of sample data to determine the passenger mile requirement. (However, for agencies without Automatic Passenger Counters (APC), Transit Capital is not a statistical data collection contractor and would not perform actual on-board statistical passenger load counts for NTD reporting purposes.)
Efficient NTD Work Tasks
NTD work tasks shall include:
â–² Prepare an appropriate data waiver with the NTD contractor.
â–² Prepare report NTD modules: Basic, Financial, Service, and Resource
â–² Identify the correct service disbursements of federal funding allocations.
â–² Provide mandatory sampling calculations and final reports.
â–² Address report issues of NTD contract staff analyst
â–² Prepare monthly ridership and safety/security reports.
â–² Maintain sampling reports and data archives for future audits.
*Work tasks are not limited to the list shown. Actual work shall include all necessary tasks for report completion, unless specified in the service contract.
Transit Capital is not a survey distribution or collection firm. Sample data collection is the responsibility of the client. Transit Capital cannot guarantee statisticians' approval for sampling methodologies other than those prescribed in FTA Circulars 2710.1A and 2710.2A.
